Matt Thayer commits to UC Santa Barbra...

When asked why he chose UCSB?? Matt Said, “I chose UCSB because it is a great school academically and it is one of the top soccer programs in the nation. It helps that I have relatives that live in Santa Barbara to help me if needed. And, of course, the beautiful location and environment that Santa Barbara offers”.



Matt also says that his biggest goal in college soccer is just to work hard and play on the pitch. I hope my work rate and passion for the game gets me the opportunity to play on the field and keep my spot. It would be great to help UCSB win another National Championship.



Matt played for Placer United for 9 years and we wish him all the best in the future.
