Morgan Garcia commits to Barry University...

Morgan has graciously accepted a generous scholarship offer extended to her by Head Coach Fred Jungemann from Barry University located in Miami Shores, Florida. Barry University is a Division II, private university located between Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

Morgan visited Barry in October and really enjoyed the “homey” atmosphere that Barry offered. She is interested in pursuing a career in podiatry and Barry offers a solid pre-med biology major and is one of only seven podiatry schools in the United States. The small class size and 96% acceptance rate into medical school for those who apply was just a couple of the assets that Barry offered along with great soccer.

Morgan was recruited to play center forward and looks forward to leaving for Barry University next summer (2010) and playing in the fall. Morgan has played for Placer United for the past three years and is currently playing with the U18 CDA team.

We would like to extend many thanks to the coaches, players and parents for their continued support and friendship over the years. We are so proud of Morgan and have confidence that she will continue to be successful on and off the field.
